The Charon v2 Mod is a brand new take on the original circuit, taking it from a mild-mannered fuzzstortion, to a real ripper of a fuzz, full of character. With its combination of modern silicon and vintage germanium transistors, we modified the circuit to give the germanium the upper hand, leading to significantly more texture and dynamic interaction. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWe also adjusted the LOWS control to provide more pronounced control over the low-frequency focused tone control of the original.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003eAs if that wasn’t enough, we also re-imagined the visual aesthetics for the Charon v2 Mod, giving it a brand new logo design on its custom engraved faceplate. This faceplate design was previously only available on an extremely limited Spacelab edition. \u003cstrong\u003eThese Space Mod Ixions are also very limited.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis custom engraved faceplate is a nod to the original vintage device that inspired the Ixion. Although not a clone of the vintage circuit, this cool classic visual design is a fun way to close out this chapter of the Ixion Optical Compressor. We also updated the knobs to be more in line with our current aesthetic.
